Baroness Hylja of the house of Borgia.

Hylja was 6 years old when the secret counsel attacked the castle and surrounded her family. She remembers vaguely that her grandfather told her to go to the stables and ask no questions. Guided by one of the housecarls, Hylja was brought to the stables where she got appointed to a horse and member of the inner circle. A long journey followed and she was brought to a land far away. The land of Gothia has not been corrupted by the inquisitors and had an secret connection via the inner circle with a Priester named Alfredo. Hylja grew up at Alfredo, a truthful man who follows the light. Hylja helped a lot on Alfredo's work in the church, she would help by cleaning up after people, placing books back in the cases and lighting candles. When she became a few years older she was allowed to help Alfredo with his practices and learned how to heal wounds. She always had an interest for healing and wonders how it works. But now that she can she still doesn't know exactly how.. This would take a long time to master and would take many practices with Alfredo on her side.

When she became 12 years old, Hylja grew an interest for tailoring. The village where she lived had a master tailor with a very prosperous shop. Hylja was often confronted with nobles from Gothia that came from far to buy cloths in the shop. She had to talk with Alfredo and see if she would be able to learn as intern at the tailor. Alfredo knew that Hylja would grow more when she did what she liked so gave her permission.
Hylja was so exited that she could learn about all these fine fabrics, intriguing patterns and vibrant colors. First she worked raw materials, spinning at the wheel for hours and hours. Mostly flax into linen, wool into yarn and cotton into cord. Sometimes the tailor showed how to add silver and gold into the thread but she was not ready for these crafts. Next the tailor showed Hylja how to weave these threads into cloths and color them with bright pigments. Hylja helped the tailor all around the shop for many years and had grow into a fine artisan of tailoring.

When Hylja became 18 years old she was still working at the tailor shop. When she was done for the day she would spend nights in the library of the church. Seeking knowledge in old scriptures and parchment when she discovered a mysterious tome one night. This tome had a glow to it when she touched it, she started studying immediately. Pretty fast she understood what was explained and she learned how to imbue magical powers to clothing. The next day when she showed up at the tailor she tried to explain what she found out but the tailor couldn't comprehend one word in the book. Hylja told Alfredo and asked why the tailor couldn't understand the tome. Alfredo explained that Hylja her ability to cast magic would make her able to read the magical tome. Alfredo told Hylja that she learned enough from the tailor and she should learn from the local alchemist how to brew potions and create healing staves.

As Hylja was told she met up with the alchemist in the village center, she is around 20 years old right now. The alchemist bought some materials from a market stall and explains what he value's in the herbs. After that the alchemist took Hylja to the carpenter and crystal market stalls to show wich one would be fitting for a staff. After Hylja learned a bit from the alchemist, he showed Hylja the apothecary and a place to work.
This would be the place where she studies and works on formules the coming years. Some times the students needed to get materials from the forest nearby but once in a month they had to travel deep into the dark forest. Here is where they found the most potent kind of roots to use in a potion. Next to this certain root would grow a little red flower. These red flowers were very fragile and would get run over by wildlife easely. So it even is a wonder if there is still one per root. From the heart of this flower the alchemist made an extract that would be powerful addition to a staff with healing powers.

When Hylja became 25 years old, Alfredo decided to tell her about the past and her family relations. Hylja mentions that she remembers being on the back of an horse for days on, traveling many regions but why.. She never knew. Now she does and her heart is filled with excitement to go out on her own and find more siblings. Alfredo jumps up and walks to his bookcase, after a few minutes he found an atlas and brought it back to the table. Hylja learned that there are even more regions then Gothia. As Hylja was shown, her family comes from Galia and this would be the direction to start finding siblings.

Hylja start preparing for her long journey to Galia. Food for a few weeks, cloths that will survive the weather, her selfmade staff and scriptures.
While she was resting from a long day of preparing she sat down in the BarleyGlow, a local tavern in her region. After a few Piquettes with the farmers/builders of the town she overheard a group of soldiers talking about a region she was also looking for. She started the conversation and learned that the group was send to scout Galia for hostile residents. Since Gothia is and always was ruled by a benign court of leaders she didn't knew a lot about hostile encounters. The group of soldiers explained that lately there is an up march of the Inquisition in Galia.
These Inquisitors are vowed to the Inquisition, an organization that appears to be focused on enforcing order and dealing with internal and external threats to the faith.
Grand Inquisitor Ignisanctus the White, of the Holy See has spoken out an order to eliminate every non-Inquisition living soul. This is why we are scouting the land before we proceed to the next step.
Hylja was hoping to join the soldiers and travel with them to Galia, so she kindly suggests to team up. The soldiers were happy to add Hylja to the company since their last healer was a bit tired and needed much rest.

After four Kalends the company finally set foot in Galia and set up a camp nearby the border. They divided the work and all took up a role, Hylja was collecting small lumber for the campfire when she saw a fire far in the distance. She went back to the camp to inform her company but before she could reach them the Inquisition scouts spotted her in the forest. They immediately charged into the direction of Hylja and were able to grab her leg. Fortunately for Hylja, she was close to the company and could scream for help. The company rushed to Hylja and broke into a fight. They were with much more then the scouts and could master the situation pretty quick. The company retreats swiftly to their camp and discusses their next step. It would be best to split up for Hylja since the company suggest to march through to Lyonesse. After Hylja has collected her staff, books and belongings she says her fair wells to the company and waves them good bye.
